From Awareness to Dance – The Potential of Motion through Experience and Spectatorship (Advanced Course)
NOTE! This course has been postponed to Spring 2018 programme. See the details below. You can already sing in.
The human body has its own preconditions, its physical set of rules. The course starts with warm-ups performed together to explore and sound out the bodily reality. Each lesson focuses on a body-related theme or subject that is taken as the starting point. Participants approach the material from their own perspectives, probing and challenging their mindscapes. Course activities aim to identify physical occurrences and changes in ourselves and others. Fine-tuned awareness is a channel towards a relaxed, articulated body and an alert, open mind. In the classes, dancing is understood as an instrument for enjoying the potential of one's own motion.
