Behind the Scenes: Objects, Language and the Body (Part 2)
This workshop conducted by Sonja Jokiniemi explores language in relation to objects, materials and experience. It opens up lacunas of non-definable, and creates situations where redefinition occurs. Sense-based exploration is used to investigate new kinds of connections with the environment and its material qualities. Course activities consist of exercises that focus on motion, sense, writing and objects, performed alone and in pairs. The workshop is suitable for everyone interested in objects, language, motion and the connections between them. It is based on the themes of Jokiniemi's upcoming performance Blab, premiering in Zodiak in November 2017.
Objects, Language and the Body (Part 2) is continuation of an initial workshop arranged in January 2017. The course is open for newcomers as well as students of the previous course.
