From Thinking to Choreography
Do you want to stage a choreographic work in progress? Or are you just interested in choreography? This workshop is an introduction to various choreographic tools and ideas, such as concept, spectator, space, duration, composition, physicality and motion. We consider the full spectrum of choreography from expressive individual dance to post-human approaches, and work on small case studies and exercises. In addition to independent work on a choreography, course activities consist of thinking, discussing and planning as well as a variety of motion-based exercises.
The course concludes with an open-doors performance day. The course is suitable for dance enthusiasts of all levels. / The course is open for both beginners and advanced dancers.
