This course instructed by Beniamino Borghi will focus on the self-knowledge of our body and on the exploration of simple movements and their meaning.

The participants will be challenged to use their physicality for a deep expression and to find their own limits in the dimension of gestures. The teaching will guide the group to develop awareness of their body language, alone and together with the others.

Classes start with a warm-up that builds endurance and stamina with some lengthening and stretching exercises. Short combinations of movements and choreographies are used to challenge our brain, to try to memorise steps and shapes, and to express ourselves. During the course we will be going through basic elements from different dance techniques: floor work, improvisation, contact improvisation and physical theatre.

Teaching is in English and basic Finnish.
