Zodiak - Center for New Dance enjoys a reputation for bold originality and excellence in contemporary dance. We endeavour to bring the best of contemporary dance to new audiences through our community outreach programme launched in 2005. We strive to foster open-minded curiosity and a love of the craft by encouraging creative involvement from the community.  We believe we can promote a greater appreciation of the art form by making dance accessible and personally relevant to a wider public.

Who qualifies to participate? Our basic dance courses are open to everyone. No prior experience or dance skills are required. Tailored courses are available to target groups such as young people, seniors and families.

We also offer tailored workshops as an accompaniment to specific productions, featuring artist dialogues, lectures and workshops.  Participants have the opportunity to receive direction from a professional choreographer or dance artist or gain first-hand insights into light and sound design.

We collaborate with schools, dance colleges and other institutions and strive to cultivate mutually instructive teaching methods. School groups and other students are welcome to visit our theatre and watch rehearsals. Dance workshops can be integrated with various school subjects.
