In the Full Year Class, dance artist Sari Palmgren conducts the exercises initially through movement material from her upcoming work Utopia (on empathy), and via exploring gaze/focus.

In the Full Year Class the participants will also move according to David Zambrano’s “passing through” group improvisation and spiral stabilisation methods. During the course the participants will do individual, pair and group movement exercises, bearing in mind the necessary safety distances. The course develops during the spring in dialogue with the group and on the needs of the participants.

The aim is to stage a demo of some kind at the end of spring season 2021; a dance video or a performance, depending on the wishes of the group.

The workshop is intended for advanced dancers and professionals. The Full Year Class was born out of a need of both workshop participants and Sari Palmgren herself to focus on work on a longer term. Course languages are Finnish and (if required) English.
