The workshop given by Kati Raatikainen focuses on bodily exercises aiming to translate the worries caused by the present state of the world into performative action. We explore how we can confront the global world of horrors that infiltrates our consciousness through media through active presence here and now and find concrete choreographic forms for expressing it. Together, we discuss the things that rend our hearts, build hope and create everyday survival strategies.
We exercise and relax listening to different parts and systems of the body, looking for spatiotemporal forms for our experiences. We use choreographic tools to express, share and shed our concerns.
The course is intended for everyone asking whether it is still all right to take care of yourself and be happy in a time like this – for everyone a bit worried, scared out of their wits or just unconsciously alarmed inside wanting to find a channel for turning the angst into energy and action through body and performance.

Cancellations must be communicated on the last cancellation day by 4 pm the latest. Please check this course's last day of cancellation from above. With the exception of injuries and illnesses certified in writing by a doctor, cancellations made later than the deadline are subject to full course fee.

You can pay with the vouchers in the beginning of the first class (only exact amounts) or you can bring the vouchers to Zodiak office (open weekdays 11 am to 4 pm). It is not possible to pay the course fee with cash.
