In autumn 2026 we are seeking proposals for premiere productions in the L category for autumn 2028 and spring 2029, and the XL category for 2029.

Zodiak Productions at Dance House Helsinki is a category for works whose Helsinki premiere takes place in Pannu Hall, or alternatively Erkko Hall, at Dance House Helsinki. This category allows for longer-term planning together with Zodiak, both in terms of artistic content and production resources. Zodiak commits to these co-productions at least two years before the premiere.

Zodiak Productions at Dance House Helsinki support includes:

Production Support L (Pannu Hall)

  • €30,000.00 (VAT 0%), which can be split over two years if desired by the working group (residency + premiere year)
  • Max. €15,000.00 towards Pannu Hall venue rent, technique and other services (covers 7 rehearsal days + 8 performance days)
  • Amount confirmed annually in relation to Zodiak's funding

Production Support XL (Erkko Hall)

  • €50,000.00 (VAT 0%), which can be split over two years if desired by the working group (residency + premiere year)
  • Max. €20,000.00 towards Erkko Hall venue rent, technique and other services (covers 7 rehearsal days + 4 performance days)
  • Amount confirmed annually in relation to Zodiak's funding

Other support in both categories

  • Rehearsal space and stage residency (1–2 periods) during the production phase
  • Assistance from Zodiak’s technical staff in setup and performances
  • Support from the producer and technical team during production planning
  • Promotional and performance photos, and a video teaser
  • Marketing across Zodiak's channels
  • One larger advertising campaign (e.g., outdoor advertising), press releases
  • At least one audience event alongside performances
  • Direct marketing, contacting target groups
  • Advance and door ticketing services
  • Mentorship and dialogue partnership with Zodiak’s Artistic Director
  • Opportunity for assistance in tour production planning and execution (conditional, dependent on funding)

The goal is 4–8 performances at Dance House Helsinki. Audience target: 1,500–2,800 spectators, depending on the performance space.
