Open Call for Zodiak’s Productions 2028–2029 Is Now Open. Application Deadline: Sunday, 18 October.
Zodiak’s autumn 2026 open call is seeking premiere productions for the years 2028–2029, as well as Zodiak Laboratory artist residencies for autumn 2027 and spring 2028.
The application process for premiere productions has been updated and is now split into two stages. In the first, slightly lighter application round, applicants can present their proposal either in writing or on video. Based on these applications, a shortlist of artists will be invited for an interview. The interviews will take place in early December 2026.
In addition, premiere productions can now be submitted to four different categories instead of the previous two. The new categories are Zodiak Stage S & M and Zodiak Productions at Dance House Helsinki L & XL.
S, M, L, and XL are production categories, not programming categories. The names are designed to reflect the scale of the work, the size of the artistic team, and the required production resources; they will not be used in external marketing.
