WORKSHOP HAS BEEN CANCELLED
The crystal pieces workshop consists of exercises and materials from the artistic process of Mikko Hyvönen's performance Crystal Pieces. We start with warm-up activities inspired by Kundalini yoga, do breathing and spinal exercises, and continue with dance activities performed together. We practice mental images, the use of voice, performance and trance dance. The exercises help the participant work their personal energies, the energy of other performers and the energy from the audience. The workshop is suitable for both active dance enthusiasts and professional performers and dancers.

Mikko Hyvönen works as a performer and a choreographer and lives in Brussels. His latest works include Crystal Pieces: Human Beings, a collaboration with dance company Off/Balance, and Organic Synthetic, which premiered in Zodiak. He has performed in Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker's company Rosas, with Claire Croize and Etienne Guilloteau, as a choreographer in musician Lauri Sallinen's Solitude project and as a performer in Veli Lehtovaara's performance Peltotiekeskustelu.

Availability is limited, so sign up in time! Welcome letters and invoices are sent to participants’ email address immediately after registration closes. If you do not find the course letter or the invoice in your email please also check the junk mail folder.
Enrolment is binding. Cancellations must be communicated on the last enrollment day by 6 pm the latest. Please check this course's last day of enrollment from above. With the exception of injuries and illnesses certified in writing by a doctor, cancellations made later than the deadline are subject to full course fee.
Zodiak's courses and workshops can also be paid using pre-paid Liikuntaseteli and Kulttuuriseteli vouchers (Smartum Oy) as well as Virikeseteli vouchers (Edenred Oy). You can pay with the vouchers in the beginning of the first class or you can bring the vouchers to Zodiak office (open weekdays 11 am to 4 pm). It is not possible to pay the course fee with cash.
