The Dance Club at the Käpylä elementary school continues on Tuesdays from 22 January to 15 May 2019 from 14:30 to 15.30, and has room for a few more students. You can come and try first, and decide after your first session if you want to continue. The dance club is suitable for both primary school and secondary school pupils.
The teacher of the dance club is dance instructor Riina Hannuksela, who is helped by the school's classroom assistant. The classes focus on contemporary dance techniques and creative exercises that help the students create their own dances. The dance club also gives the possibility to participate in the performances of Dance Crew Ihanat.
The dance club has now been active for three years. Its roots are in a project arranged with Zodiak – Center for New Dance in spring 2014. The classes are arranged in collaboration with the parents, the Käpylä elementary school and Zodiak – Center for New Dance. Basic knowledge of Finnish required to participate the Dance Club. There are few places available.

Availability is limited, so sign up in time! Welcome letters and invoices are sent to participants’ email address immediately after registration closes. If you do not find the course letter or the invoice in your email please also check the junk mail folder.
Enrolment is binding. Cancellations must be communicated on the last enrollment day by 6 pm the latest. Please check this course's last day of enrollment from above. With the exception of injuries and illnesses certified in writing by a doctor, cancellations made later than the deadline are subject to full course fee.
Zodiak's courses and workshops can also be paid using pre-paid Liikuntaseteli and Kulttuuriseteli vouchers (Smartum Oy) as well as Virikeseteli vouchers (Edenred Oy). You can pay with the vouchers in the beginning of the first class or you can bring the vouchers to Zodiak office (open weekdays 11 am to 4 pm). It is not possible to pay the course fee with cash.
