Zodiak's Movement to Image workshop is intended for dancers, professionals and enthusiasts working with dance productions, and everyone interested in photographing motion.
The course is a primer on using the camera, the basics of photography and how to shoot dance and motion. Course activities and photography assignments focus on the themes of the body and motion with professional dancers used as models. Zodiak's rehearsal sessions and motion workshops provide an excellent practice environment for many of the themes.
Participants are required to have their own camera (compact or SLR, the ability to use manual aperture/exposure settings is required). No earlier photography experience is required. The course is also suitable for participants of last year's photography course. The basics are the same, but the exercises and assignments are new.
The instructor, Johanna Tirronen, is a professional photographer with substantial experience of working with dance productions. She is a freelance photographer and a part-time lecturer at the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. (www.kuvaunit.com)

Availability is limited, so sign up in time! Welcome letters and invoices are sent to participants immediately after registration closes. Cancellations must be communicated no later than seven days before the course begins. With the exception of injuries and illnesses certified in writing by a doctor, cancellations made later than seven days before the course or workshop are subject to full course fee.
Please bring a receipt of your course payment to the first meeting of your course. Zodiak's courses and workshops can also be paid using pre-paid Liikuntaseteli and Kulttuuriseteli vouchers (Smartum Oy) as well as Virikeseteli vouchers (Edenred Oy).
