The workshop is the third version of this long artistic research about gender expression and migration: a project that meets the expressive gestures of Physical theatre and dance techniques with the "not enough expressed" stories of homosexuality and gender fluidity from different backgrounds.

What the movements say about you? How do you stand, sit, talk and watch the others? How you interact with the others? Still in many of our countries there are prejudices, intolerance and
ignorance towards the homosexuality. In many countries people have to hide their inner identities and to become empty shells that follow the norms and the rules of the gender binary society.

The aim of the project is to give voice to a topic that is still a taboo and controversial: the plan is to create a performance (30 min long) focused on the results of the workshop. The language is based on Physical Theatre technique with a research on gestures and pedestrian movements in combinations with the individual stories of each participants.

The workshop is intended for the participants of the previous editions but also new dancers are welcome: people of any gender, of all ages and preferably with some performance experience. The participants have to be comfortable to talk and investigate about homosexuality. The project is in English and Finnish.

The performances will be displayed during Helsinki Pride week (24.-29.6.2019 - N.B. dates to be confirmed) and Loviisa Pride (6.7.2019). Travel expenses are covered.
