Gabriela Aldana-Kekoni and Sandra Lolax will perform their adaptations of the solo work Art and Life by the American legend Deborah Hay. Each dancer learned the solo at Hay’s annual Solo Performance Commissioning Project in Scotland in 2010. Deborah Hay conveys her choreography through a written score and directives that each performer translates individually into movement in her unique way. Now is a rare opportunity to see two personal adaptations of the same score in a double-bill evening!
Gabriela Aldana-Kekoni is a Chile-born dance artist currently living in Helsinki. Sandra Lolax is a Finnish dancer based in Berlin and Vaasa.
