Spring Thing brings Tanssivintti’s young dance groups to the Zodiak stage with choreography by Jenna Broas and Maija Nurmio.
Jenna Broas: Sedimenting
Sedimenting explores a series of spatial, temporal and material sketches of the present, revealing the sediments accumulated in the body. The performers’ movements glide, intertwine and multiply across the space in shifting temporal patterns. Through repetition, they weave a choreographic tapestry that draws you into a gentle celebration of life.
Created in collaboration with Zodiak’s and Tanssivintti’s Young Dancers group, Sedimenting continues Broas’s broader artistic exploration of landscape, the relationships between terrestrial and subterranean life, and the echoes that dwell in the body.
