Corinne Mustonen’s course invites you to explore dance as embodied art – through dancing itself. Bodily art is perhaps the most delicate, vital and yearning of all artistic expressions. So, we dance.
In this course the classes include gentle warm-ups, movement techniques and sequences, improvisation, moments of mutual admiration, shaking loose, and free play – all designed to awaken both body and mind, and to encourage natural expression.
The course adapts to the group’s needs, making it accessible to everyone. Exercises are done both individually and together, but they can also be modified according to each participant’s needs. We will dance to the music, dance against the music and without the music. We learn how to learn from one another and cherish each person’s unique movement style. The course structure supports us along the way, helping us to release tension, surrender to movement, and open mystical portals. In this course, we work with the body, not against it.
In other words, let’s dance!! Corinne will guide you with clear instructions, which you’re welcome to follow in whatever way best suits your preferences, physical condition, and ability. Guidance is available also in English and Swedish.
