Maria Nurmela’s Senior Course 2 is divided into two groups, each with identical content. Group A meets on Monday mornings from 10AM to 11:30AM.

Maria Nurmela’s senior classes begin with somatic exercises aimed exploring the potential of our bodies. These exercises involve listening to our breath, awakening connections and kinetic chains within the body, exploring the flow of movement, and discovering the potential of our mobility.

Throughout the classes, movement emerges from the body's core, extending towards the periphery, off-balances, spirals, and experimentation with gravity. Various improvisation and movement composition tasks, along with pair and trio exercises, allow participants to weave their own movement and choreographic narratives, often complemented by music that encourages dancing.

Participants can engage in the exercises according to their own abilities, allowing for individual interpretation and attentiveness to the body’s cues.
