The artistic copyright of Zodiak co-productions remains with the production or the contract partner of the co-production. The financial rights of each production remain with Zodiak for the performance period covered by the co-production contract.
The production is responsible for initiating negotiations for obtaining all performance or copyright permissions and any individual permissions between Zodiak and the rights holders. The rights contracts for all copyrighted material is signed between Zodiak and the rights holders. The production or the contract partner is responsible for grand rights music compensations.
Zodiak is responsible for compensating Finnish copyright organisations for any source music used in the production during the period covered by the co-production contract.
