Body conditioning workshop includes exercises to increase mobility, body control and relaxation. The workshop derives from creative movement, pilates, yoga and deep tissue stretching. Slow and dynamic exercises improve suppleness and focused strength, and long stretches aim to release muscle tensions and gain movability. Conditioning is directed not only to muscles, but bones, joints, organs and the brain as well. This workshop deepens the participants’ understanding of their own bodies. Each exercise is given alternatives to suit individual needs. The workshop is intended for dance professionals and amateurs alike.
Body conditioning workshop is taught by Katja Keränen, teacher of dance, pilates and yoga. She holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Art and Health Sciences.
Time: On Tuesdays 11.9.–11.12. From 5.45pm to 7pm, Total 14 times
