During his workshop Euripides Laskaridis facilitates performative tools coming from his artistic research on ridicule and transformation in combination with his background in physical theatre, Greek theatre and dance theatre. With the use of wigs (meta-masks) and his concept of stage topography, Euripides will instigate the performer's imagination towards unveiling the poetry that lies beneath absurdity.
The participants will need to e-mail Euripides a filled-out questionnaire provided by him one week prior to the workshop. Comfortable shoes and clothing are advised.
Euripides Laskaridis is a stage director, short-filmmaker and performer. He founded the Osmosis Theatre Company in 2009 and has since presented their work in various settings in Greece. Outside Greece, his work has been hosted at international festivals and venues such as the New York City Fringe, Judson Church, Aerowaves Spring Forward and Prague Quadrennial.
