SamuliEmery considers themselves a youthful Finnish-British queer performance maker (amongst other things), who happens to have a complicated but touchingly obsessive relationship to dancing. After completing a formal Western staged contemporary dance education at Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD) they’ve worked internationally in the productions of artists such as Meg Stuart, Jerome Bel, Imre & Marne Van Opstal, Christoph Winkler, River Lin and Jill Crovisier. Samuli has received numerous awards and stipends for their accomplishments as a performer and maker in Finland, Germany, Poland, Estonia and Italy. Samuli tends to craft absurd performative situationships, teach passionately, invite people together into epic generative spaces and practise loving ways to remain housed in one's body. m.facebook.com/sambbba www.instagram.com/sambbba
Sanni Kriikku graduated with a Master’s degree in Dance from the Theatre Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki in 2021. She has worked extensively in the performing arts field as a performer, choreographer, curator, and producer, as well as in various elected positions in several arts and cultural organizations. At times, she can also be seen playfully performing pop lyric recitations and burlesque. Sanni works in a multidisciplinary and cross-artistic manner. For her, being an artist means both the pursuit of freedom and beauty, and the bearing of social responsibility. In her role as a curator, Sanni often strives to make art that is both intellectually challenging as well as accessible to its audience. Sanni began as the Artistic Director of Dance Theatre Tsuumi in January 2025. She is also a student at the Finnish Witch Institute. www.sannikriikku.com
