Zodiak – Center for New Dance is looking for a MARKETING PRODUCER.
The job includes, among other things:
- producing visual marketing materials
- creating social media content, especially Instagram
- developing marketing and communications, in collaboration with Zodiak’s communications manager and other staff members
- customer service assignments
- other sales and marketing tasks
You might be the person we are looking for, if:
You have a passion for performing contemporary arts and contemporary dance. You are a visual thinker and you are interested in developing and producing Zodiak’s visual marketing materials. You have marketing skills and experience, especially in working in social media, and preferably from the art or culture field. It is also necessary that you feel comfortable taking photos and videos for publishing purposes. You can write inspiring and fluent Instagram posts about our programme in English. You have a good sense of context and you are able to adapt discreetly to the needs of different artistic working groups.
You are not afraid to handle different kinds of customer service situations both in Finnish and in English. You don’t hesitate to roll up your sleeves or pick up the phone, and you are also organized. You enjoy encountering our peer groups, whether it is in our office, in our dance studios or in relation to our performances. You like to cooperate, but you are also capable of independent work with a responsible attitude. You use Adobe’s photo and video editing programs with ease, as well as their layout tools (Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign). Excel is one of your favourite tools.
The position is full time and the contract is fixed-term. The job description is applicable to change as the position's parameters are finalised. The salary will start from 2 500 – 2 700 €, depending on the selected person’s experience and education. The employment starts on Sep 1st, 2020, or according to agreement, and ends on Dec 31st, 2022. There is an option to negotiate about continuing the agreement even after this agreement term ends. The position has a 6-month probation time.

The videos will be handled anonymously. The recruitment takes place in three phases.
About Zodiak
Zodiak – Centre for New Dance is the only producer and venue focusing solely on contemporary dance in Helsinki. Zodiak's program of performances is artistically curated and primarily based on an open call. We produce 10 to 15 Finnish premieres each year. Zodiak also has multiple and diverse Audience Engagement activities. Zodiak’s versatile programming requires a particular sense of context, and the ability to create the visual and textual communications materials in collaboration with the artists.
Zodiak is a small and active community of experts, working in teams. Each member of the staff is independently responsible for their own assignments, but also collaborates closely with others. The new marketing producer’s will work most closely with Zodiak’s communications manager. In addition to the regular office staff, there are around 200 artists involved in different kinds of projects or productions within Zodiak’s activities.
