Zodiak is organises two annual festivals. The Side Step Festival that showcases international contemporary dance is arranged in February, while the Workshop Festival for dance professionals takes place in June. Zodiak also arranges a number of smaller events annually, both independently and as part of various collaboration projects.

Zodiak’s international Side Step Festival has been arranged since 1996. The festival takes place during the first week of February and showcases the latest trends and artists in contemporary dance. Most of the artists and performances are previously unseen in Finland. Festival venues are Cable Factory and Cultural Centre Stoa in Itäkeskus (2019—2021).

Workshop Festival, a concept developed by Zodiak that offers workshops and training and networking opportunities for dance professionals, students and instructors, was first arranged in 2017. The festival is arranged in collaboration with Dance House Helsinki and Tanssille ry.

Events are one form of activities of the Valokeilassa koillinen (Focus Northeast) art project (2018—2021). For example, Local Landscapes festival produced by Zodiak is arranged as part of the project. The entire program of the festival arranged in September is offered free of charge.

Zodiak has also been one of the organisers of the #StopHatredNow event week since its beginning. #SHN is an intercultural, anti-racist event platform that strives to create discourse and offers tools to create a more inclusive, diverse and feminist art field. Initiated by choreographer Sonya Lindfors and first arranged in 2016, the event is an annual collaboration between various cultural organisations.

In addition to annual events, Zodiak also arranges seminars and lectures as part of its project work.
